Vic De Zen arrived in Canada in 1962 with 20 dollars in his pocket and a dream. Vic a highly skilled, Swiss trained, tool and die maker borrowed money from his aunts to buy 2 plane tickets to Canada, where he and his wife Angelina would start a new life after the Italian job market dried up.
Although the 20 year old De Zen didn’t speak a word of English when they arrived in Toronto, he was eager to start work beginning his first job installing television antennas the same day.
Now, 48 years later, the energetic entrepreneur controls Vision Group of Companies, a multi-armed, vertically integrated group with a long reach into PVC building products manufacturing, industrial/commercial land development and construction, leasing and property management, transport and the hospitality industry.
Throughout his career he has built a plastic conglomerate with over 10,000 employees worldwide in over 40 countries. Vic is building Vision as he built his last, based on old fashion values and customer service. “The customer is always number one” is Vic’s mantra. This entrepreneurial spirit and customer focus is found throughout the Vision management team.
